Dr Rosemary Leonard Q & A - Asthma

19/03/2012

My Daughter suffered from asthma quite badly when she was a toddler and up until she was about six. She needed to use an inhaler regularly and sometimes a nebulizer. However she seemed to outgrow it once she was six. She is now 18 and her asthma returned about a year ago. We don't know what has triggered it. She now takes her inhalers again regularly but i am wondering why it has returned after seemingly lying dormant for a number of years? I wonder if you could offer any explanation.
